With 'Dry January' FINALLY behind us, what better way to celebrate jumping back into some wine tasting fun then a special 'Meet the Winemaker' night with not ONE ...but TWO winemakers.  Yes, you read that right....we have an amazing night planned and we could not be happier to share with you.

VIN is pleased to welcome Marie-Laure Ammons, winemaker and proprietor of Nid Tisse' Wines from Sonoma County who will be pouring her exquisitely crafted Pinot Noir and Chardonay, and Derek Sanchez, winemaker at Corkwood Cellars from the Sierra Foothills, whose 500 case production of  Zinfandel from the Steele Vineyard planted in 1916, is a subtle expression and is a new fave of our Zin loving clients. 

Marie was born and raised in France and after graduating from Ecole Viticole (Bourdeaux) and Beaune Dijon. After spending years working harvest and winemaking in France, Marie moved to CA. After 18 vintages of dedicated work with Atelier Melka in Napa, she began producing her own wines.

Derek, a native of the Central Valley, studied Enology at California State University and moved to France in pursuit of a master's degree in Enology & Viticulture. Studying in Europe allowed Derek the opportunity to spend equal time both in the classroom and in the world's most renowned chateaus, bodegas, and tenutas - learning firsthand from the best European producers. Derek works and lives by the philosophy that balance is the key to both good wine and life....and that balance is evident in his wine.
