‘I started as a Cellar Rat’……I can’t tell you how much I love his humble description of how his love of wine began. Edgar’s wine journey started in Paso Robles as a waiter and after some of his favorite wine producers became friends and opened their doors to Edgar to quench his desire to learn everything there is to know about wine, he and his wife launched Bodega de Edgar in 2007. Bodega, which is the Spanish term for winery or cellar, was a natural fit considering his Hispanic heritage and passion for Spanish wines.

Edgar will be pouring a variety of wines including Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and amazing blends.

Born in Washington DC and raised in Northern California , Kacie is thrilled to share her music with the beautiful community on the Peninsula where her mother resides . Her original songs are Folk , Folk rock with a splash of story telling between each .

The most anticipated Meet the Winemaker Event in 2024 .... Please join us in welcoming Juan Mercado (formerly of Realm) as we introduce his new Paso venture, ‘RIISE’, along with John & Stacy Reinart & their latest creation ‘When She Was King’.

In 2002, Juan Mercado founded Realm, which quickly became a Napa darling of the critics & amassed a multi-year waiting list. In 2018, he departed Realm & set his sights on Paso Robles with the vision of cultivating a globally-respected wine brand. Juan founded RIISE in 2019 to produce world-class Rhône varietal & Tempranillo-based wines that are powerfully, textural & light on their feet. Winemaker Anthony Yount (Denner, @royalnonesuchfarm , Kinero) whose wines are dynamic & highly sought after is at the helm crafting what is by far the best that Paso is offering. 

We also welcome back our dear friends John & Stacy Reinart who will be featuring their Paso gem ‘When She Was King’.  This 2022 Syrah driven (SGM) blend is Paso at its finest. With grapes sourced from @fulldrawvineyard & blended by the hands of Stephan Asseo of @laventurewine - you know this is a masterpiece!! John and Stacy Reinart, founders and proprietors of Brilliant Mistake, come from significantly different backgrounds, but it was the spark of similar interests that led to one shared dream. 

Brilliant Mistake wines is the result of that dream. 

John’s artistic background fueled rebelliousness, off the wall, free-thinking, and no-holds-bar risk-taking. stacy's strength and judgement inspired him and provided the foundation to support each and every risk.

With the benefit of two individuals taking risks together, they have produced and bottled what may just be the perfect representation of who they are, and what can be expected of them in their positively unpredictable future.

Brilliant Mistake winemaker, Maayan Koschitsky, has crafted wines at Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle and serves as director of winemaking for Philippe Melka’s Atelier Melka, in addition to producing his own wines under the Royal Prince label. Wine Enthusiast honored him as one of their 40 Under 40 Tastemakers in 2019.
