John and Stacy Reinart, founders and proprietors of Brilliant Mistake, come from significantly different backgrounds, but it was the spark of similar interests that led to one shared dream. 

Brilliant Mistake wines is the result of that dream. 

John’s artistic background fueled rebelliousness, off the wall, free-thinking, and no-holds-bar risk-taking. stacy's strength and judgement inspired him and provided the foundation to support each and every risk.

With the benefit of two individuals taking risks together, they have produced and bottled what may just be the perfect representation of who they are, and what can be expected of them in their positively unpredictable future.

Brilliant Mistake winemaker, Maayan Koschitsky, has crafted wines at Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle and serves as director of winemaking for Philippe Melka’s Atelier Melka, in addition to producing his own wines under the Royal Prince label. Wine Enthusiast honored him as one of their 40 Under 40 Tastemakers in 2019.
